Had a great day thrifting today! I was dragging this morning but my classy friend Karen and I got around to the PTA in Carrboro at about 2:15. Saturday is a pretty busy day but we were able to find quite a few things.
-a classy sheer black top by Allison Taylor. I googled the brand and the prices ranged from mid twenties to over 100 dollars! I might be scandalous and wear it out tonight with only a black bra underneath.
-four paper back books each for either $1.50 or $2.00
Like Water For Chocolate by Laura Esquivel: An amazing, sexy novel that's perfect for food-lovers, sex-lovers or anyone with a latin culture fetish. I first read this in installments in the New York Times when I was 12 and it shocked my virgin mind. It's also a cookbook so you definitely get your money's worth in this book.

Slumdog Millionaire by Vikas Swarup: Never read the book or saw the movie but I loved Jai Ho--even, I'll admit it, the Pussycat Dolls remake.

Five Quarters of the Orange by Joanne Harris: I don't know what it's about but Harris also wrote Chocolat so it must be good!

How To Be Good by Nick Hornby: Another new one--this author wrote the screenplay for About a Boy.

-The last two items I picked up were a red candle and a Mexican influenced candle holder made of red glass and pewter.

Total Amount Spent: $12.00

Score.
